Well today we survived a trip to the mainland for combined training
After warming up they called 146 and it was our time to go in and point our toes!
About 5 movements in and I cocked up! We struck off on the wrong leg!?! What the f#ck! Weโve been working on this for ages and got it down to a T, but put me in the ring and it all goes wrong!
All in all He did a good test, nothing amazing but we got round and I didnโt even have a caller!
On to the jumping, saddle changed and Barny was raring to go. He jumped the practice cross pole twice and the spread once and then it was time to die!
So off we go in a not so nice rhythm, missed the stride to the first but he jumped so well
So just one down and a stop, but we got over everything and I didnโt fall off! BONUS!!!
I'm so unbelievably please with my little yellow mistake, he was perfect today. It was great to get him out doing something that he clearly loves!
Onwards and upwards for next time! Yes.. Iv come away with a lot to work on, but it will never be perfect and I have to remember that he hasent done anything like this before, so it will take time
Thank you everyone for your endless support and pep talks throughout the day! The riding club came away with some great placings and everyone was still smiling at the end of the day
Lots of love George and Barny x
P.s. I wasnโt aware of my awful state this morning, sorry the damage it may cause to your eyes
